Ramona Esparza-Stoffregan currently is the President of The Leadership Institute of Nevada (LION), a non-profit organization that cultivates innovative, equity-focused leadership development. She served as a Public Service Intern with a state mental health agency, Children’s Behavioral Services (CBS) for the State of Nevada.

She taught preschool students with emotional and behavioral issues in a clinical treatment program. She was a servant leader in the Clark County School District for almost three decades in various roles as an English and ELL teacher, an ELL and School Improvement Facilitator, a Data Coordinator, and a K-12 administrator (Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Principal) in serving students and families in the greater Las Vegas community. She is student-centered in her decision-making, and she understands the essentials of co-creation with students and families to improve educational environments and outcomes. She is an experienced Leadership Advocate, Coach, and Consultant with demonstrated results and a history of working in educational advocacy and leadership transformation processes.


Her collective impact has been in collaboration solutions, systems and design thinking, coaching and mentoring leaders, universal learning designs, educational technology, data analysis; and outcomes-based implementation. Her philosophy of life-long learning is infectious, and her purpose is to be an advocate that believes “educating others with empowerment and self-efficacy is an equalizer to excel and propel others to succeed.” She co-founded the Nevada Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents’ (NVALAS), est. 2018, and serves as the President on the Executive Board. She mentors, coaches, and builds networks of support for current and aspiring leaders.
